Carrier water is calculated as:

Carrier Water Required = Area × Water Rate

If tank size is provided:

Number of Tank Loads = Total Spray Volume ÷ Tank Size

Example Calculation

Area = 5 ha
Herbicide rate = 1.5 L/ha
Carrier water range = 37 to 75 L/ha
Tank size = 500 L

Product required:

5 × 1.5 = 7.5 L

Carrier water:

5 × 37 = 185 L minimum
5 × 75 = 375 L maximum
